$18/hr + Employee Benefits for FT + $1,000 sign on bonus
Location: Penn Hills

Box Truck Drivers are responsible for pick-ups and deliveries of all donated goods and materials.  Providing timely, safe vehicle operations, as well as abiding by all State, Federal, and Local laws.  SVdP Box Truck Drivers provide a point of contact for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul when interacting with donors, clients, and customers.   Box Truck Drivers uphold the mission and values of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in the performance of duties.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Abide by all State, Federal, and Local laws and regulations regarding the safe operation of vehicles.
  • Demonstrate the ability to operate assigned equipment in a safe manner utilizing defensive driving techniques.
  • Perform ALL scheduled pick-ups daily; maintaining a high level of customer service and courtesy with customers, donors, and coworkers.
  • Perform scheduled ‘Voucher’ furniture deliveries as assigned. Demonstrate courtesy and understanding.
  • Service SVdP donation boxes according to schedule; which includes removing ALL bags and loose items from the donation boxes.
  • Complete all daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections as required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
  • Responsible for utilizing fuel cards; and turning in all SIGNED
  • Deliver merchandise, supplies to SVdP stores on a regularly scheduled basis.
  • Off load truck each day, taking merchandise to appropriate area of the warehouse and/or stores.
  • Maintain a high degree of professionalism at all times
  • Complete all special assignments as requested by member of the SVdP Warehouse Management Team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

$12.50/hr + $500 sign on bonus
Location: Penn Hills

The Warehouse Laborer is responsible for completing labor intensive tasks related to day to day operations of the St. Vincent de Paul Warehouse and Retail Thrift store locations.  Daily tasks completed by Warehouse Laborers may include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Assist Box Truck Drivers with pick-ups and deliveries of donated goods and/or conference vouch orders.
  • Operation of bale compactors in the salvage production process.
  • Cleaning, organizing, sorting, and/or disposal of stored materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of truck and/or other vehicles.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, safe workplace environment.
  • Serves as a role model for SVdP at all times when interacting with donors, store employees, conference representatives, and conference clients.
  • Upholds the mission and values of the Society of St. incent de Paul in the performance of duties.
  • Will perform other duties as assigned or directed by a member of the SVdP Warehouse Management Team.

  1. Assist the Box Truck Driver in picking up and delivering materials to SVdP stores.
  2. Assist the Box Truck Driver in picking up donations and other salvage materials.
  3. Assist the Box Truck Driver with scheduled pick-ups per schedule.
  4. Maintain a high level of customer service and courtesy with customers.
  5. Assist the Box Truck Driver with scheduled deliveries of conference furniture vouchers.
  6. Asist the Box Truck Driver with servicing SVdP donation boxes according to schedule, which includes removing ALL bags and loose items from the donation boxes.
  7. Assist with unloading trucks and sorting and storage of material in the warehouse.
  8. Maintain a high degree of professionalism at all times.
  9. Carry out any special assignments as directed by a member of the SVdP Warehouse Management Team.

Perform other duties as assigned.

$12.00 - $14.00/hr + $500 sign on bonus
Location: Castle Shannon and Monroeville (up to $14/hr)

Job description: Responsible for assisting with pick-up of donated goods; providing customer service; merchandise sorting, servicing St. Vincent de Paul donation boxes, sort and off load trucks. Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

$12.00 - $14.00/hr + $500 sign on bonus
Location: Castle Shannon ($13-14/hr), Monroeville ($13-14/hr), Coraopolis ($12/hr), and Penn Hills ($12/hr) 

Job description: Responsible for duties related to: providing customer service; merchandise sorting, preparation and display; cash register operation; and other tasks which support the daily operation of a retail store.
