Every new beginning is an opportunity to serve with greater compassion, and this season marks one of the most exciting chapters in the history of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Council of Pittsburgh.
We are delighted to announce that our headquarters has officially moved to the Holy Spirit Campus in West Mifflin. The former Church at 2603 Old Elizabeth Road will become more than just our administrative home. It is a place where faith is put into action, where volunteers and staff come together to serve, and where neighbors in need will find hope, dignity, and compassionate support.
As part of this exciting transformation, we are also preparing to open the Holy Spirit Thrift Store, a welcoming destination where every purchase and every donation helps change lives. Shoppers will find quality clothing, furniture, home goods, books, and unique treasures at affordable prices, while every dollar raised supports the Society's mission of providing food, shelter, utility assistance, transportation, and other essential services to families throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania.
This new campus represents far more than a change of address. It is an investment in the future of our mission—creating greater opportunities to serve our neighbors, strengthen our Vincentian community, and extend Christ's love to those who need it most.
We look forward to welcoming you to our new home in the months ahead. Watch for grand opening celebrations, volunteer opportunities, and ways you can be part of this exciting new chapter. Together, we are building a place where hope has a home.
Behind every act of service is a story of resilience, hope, and compassion. In this section, we share real stories of the neighbors we serve—individuals and families facing hardship who have found support through the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. These stories highlight the impact of our programs and the generosity of our volunteers and donors.
